OUR PURPOSE

The Purpose of Church on the Hill is ELEVATING LIFE.

We live in a complex and confusing world that is hungry for a church that is simple. People today have entered life right in the middle of the story. The epic story is about God redeeming his creation. Our lives are part of this much bigger story that is thousands of years in the making. When people see their lives only from a limited view of the here-and-now, it is like trying to make sense of a movie when you have seen only a three-minute clip that takes place right in the middle of the movie.

Life can be confusing that way. If life is confusing, church should not be. It should not take visitors four months to figure out the purpose or the programs of our church. At Church on the Hill we want to be clear and holistic while keeping it simple.

ELEVATED POSITION IN CHRIST

"God MADE US ALIVE with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions - it is by grace you have been saved. And GOD RAISED US UP with Christ and seated us with Him IN THE HEAVENLY REALMS in Christ Jesus."

Ephesians 2:5-6

LIFE THROUGH THE SPIRIT

"The mind controlled by the Spirit is LIFE and peace ... And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give LIFE to your mortal bodies through His Spirit, who lives in you."

Romans 8:6-11

STEP OUT TO THE JOURNEY OF ELEVATING LIFE

"Since, then, you have been RAISED WITH CHRIST, set your hearts on things ABOVE, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things ABOVE, not on earthly things. For you died, and your LIFE is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is YOUR LIFE, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory."
