Our team of 13 people is going to Chinandega, Nicaragua, to help in multiple service projects. They'll build desks and tables for an elementary school that our missionary, Pastor Rigo, is launching in Chinandega. Our team will repair the walls, ceiling, and stairs of the boys' dorm at Bethlehem Farm's welding and carpentry school. They'll also help at a local Vacation Bible School and meet the Compassion International children that they support. Join us in praying for our team's safety and ministry work that they will be participating in.
Join us on May 21st directly following 2nd service in the Oasis High School Room for lunch, games, and fun with others currently involved or interested in the Worship Arts Team!
Come to learn how you can get involved on stage with the band or vocal team, in the production booth with the tech team, and many other opportunities to serve on the Worship Arts Team.
Lunch will be provided and all are encouraged to join. Bring your family! Kids, spouses, and parents are invited to be apart of the fun and hear more about what serving on the team looks like.
Any questions, email Matt at email@example.com and hope to see you all there!
It's that time of the year again! That's right...Winter Camp! Last year, we tried out South Lake Tahoe for the first time and it was a blast. I am happy to share that we will be returning to the same cabin at Sierra-at-Tahoe. We will leave on Friday and come back Monday, the first day of break. On Saturday, Jan. 28th we have the opportunity to join our neighbors, local businesses, the City of San Jose, Cathedral of Faith, and Downtown Streets Team in a Neighborhood Beautification Day to create a clean, safe, engaged community near our church. We’ll gather at Cathedral of Faith and then go out in teams to clean up the neighborhood. Breakfast, lunch, safety vests, gloves and tools will be provided. You can come anytime between 8:30-12pm. Come as a family or with friends; get your community service hours for school.
On Jan. 24th and 25th Santa Clara County is going to do a homeless census and survey to better understand the number of homeless people living throughout our county. It will partially determine how much federal funding our County will get to address homelessness.
If you're 18 and over and would like to count on Jan. 24th or 25th (from 5-10am) the number of homeless people living on our streets, contact firstname.lastname@example.org. You do not need any experience with homelessness; you would just need to attend a 1-hour training to prepare you for the count. The data will be combined with shelter and survey data to give an accurate snapshot of homeless individuals, youth, and families.
Come help distribute our Gifts of Warmth and serve a Christmas Brunch on Dec. 23, 11-1pm, to 80 of our needy neighbors at Curtner Studios, some of whom were formerly homeless, but are now housed and completing wellness programs. Contact: email@example.com
