COMMUNITY GROUPS
The Winter season begins on Sunday, January 8th! Are you ready to look “Under the Hood”?
Welcome to the Community Groups page for Church on the Hill. Our goal is to elevate life by relating with people in community for the purpose of growing to be more like Jesus.
With the start of a new year, many people take the opportunity to make healthy changes in their lives. Often, these changes center around building healthier relationships (time with spouse, kids, friends), physical health (eating better, exercising more, joining a gym) or spiritual health (reading the Bible daily, praying more, joining a community group). But how often do we consider our emotional health when making our new year’s resolutions? Have you considered how your emotional health impacts all of these other parts of your life?
For the winter season, all of our groups will be participating in a study called Under the Hood which will encourage us to “pop the hood” of our lives and take an honest look inside. On Sunday, January 8th, Pastor Scott will begin an eight week series that will guide us through this study. Along with the Sunday morning lessons, we will be using Peter Scazzero’s books Emotionally Healthy Spirituality and Daily Office to help us understand the connection between our emotional health and our spiritual lives, and how to bring them together.
Listed below are the groups we are currently offering for this upcoming season. If you have any questions, you may email the leaders below, or contact me and I would be happy to help you find a group that is a good fit for you.
I believe that Under The Hood could be a transformative series for Church on the Hill, and for each one of us individually. Make plans to be here in January and February.
