COMMUNITY GROUPS

Living in Community at Church on the Hill

I am convinced that small group involvement is not just an option for the health of the individual believer and the church body, but it is a necessary element. God has created us for community ... He created us to have community with Him and with each other.

I am also convinced that God wants us to elevate our lives in and through Jesus. COTH has a picture perfect vision statement that describes precisely how we will do that, by Connecting (with God), Growing (closer to God and with each other), and Serving (on the Hill and off the Hill). Each one of these elements are vital to a healthy Christian life.

As we commit to "Growing" through Community Groups, I believe there will be an ongoing spiritual transformation in our lives that will truly Elevate us as God desires.

I encourage you to contact me if you have any questions or concerns about Community Groups, or if you would like assistance with choosing a Community Group that fits you best.

Come and spend ten weeks journeying through core "Bible Basics” as we discuss some things every Christian should know about the Bible. The class will help you answer these and other questions ...

- How did the Bible come to be?
- What kinds of books are included?
- How many books are in the Old Testament?
- What's the longest chapter in the Bible?
- Who were Jesus' aunt and uncle?
- What was Paul's name before it was?
- What is so important about the Passover Jesus celebrated before his crucifixion?

This is by no means an all-inclusive course. It was created out of a desire to help participants familiarize themselves with the amazing content of our Bible and to spark a hunger and thirst to spend more time within its pages and with its Author! Bring questions and a willing heart and mind, and let's jump into the Word of God together and let the Holy Spirit take care of the rest.
