Winter Week 9 The Story of Jesus
Leaders, as we continue in our series in the book of Mark this week, we are focusing on Mark 12. In this very significant passage Jesus was asked which is the most important of all the commandments, and Jesus’ answer was not with a question but was a real straight forward response, so obviously this is a big one. We really want to dive into it as we talk about loving God with all we are and also loving others like we love ourselves. This week I encourage you to remind your group that if our strategy is to love God with our own endeavors, we will inevitably crash and burn. The real goal we need to talk through is how we can relinquish control and actually submit to and obey God in order to really experience what He has for us.
