Fall Week 2 Esther
Hey, Leaders,
I hope the season is off to a good start for you. As we jump into the book of Esther, I want you to be aware that there will be a lot of questions that hopefully prompt good and thoughtful conversation, although there will often be no “clear or correct” answers. In comparing the books of Daniel and Esther, I heard someone say, “Daniel is a story full of blessing because of what he did. Esther is a story of blessing despite what was being done” and that, as much as we would love to be like Daniel and always stand strong, the truth is that we at times compromise and give in to the ways of the world. This book is graphic and full of the brokenness of humanity, just like the world we live in. Yet, in all of it we get to see God’s hand so clearly, even though His name is never mentioned.
Also, for the repentance section on Day 3, those prompts are meant for people to do during their time with God before group and then to discuss at group if wanted.
As a reminder, next week is the prayer experience week, so please prepare the group for that and make a plan for how you will run that week with your groups.
Have a great week!
