Fall Week 7 Life Giving Habits

Hey leaders,

Quite a while back I had a conversation with another staff member about how quickly people were leaving after Sunday morning’s service and emptying out the lobby and how that really was not a good thing or a good sign. We discussed the need for change, and I knew Community Groups had to be a big part of that. Since then and for quite a few Sundays now I have observed the lobby and seen the opposite; we have people who stay so late now that they get to hear the Spanish service begin their worship. It is awesome to see the connection between people who feel like this is their place, and that goes back to you as leaders. How do I know that? Because the people who stay around are almost always hanging out and talking with the others in their groups. People don’t feel like they belong to a building; they belong with “their people.”  And you are a reason why people feel like they belong here at church, and I am grateful to be a part of it. Thank you for leading.

As a heads up for this week, we heard the feedback that the questions were a little (or a lot) long-winded last week, so they are shorter this week. (Thank you for the feedback.)  With that, I do want to bring your attention to question 2 on day 2. It is written as an either/or question, but the hope/expectation is that people will not just select one or the other but will also express why they did so. It is also not all one or the other; it is usually both, but we want to promote a conversation around that and how it works.

Have a great meeting and here are your resources!
