Winter Week 7 Good News For The Guilty
Hey, Leaders!
This week we are in Romans 3:3-20, and the focus in this passage is sin. This has been the focus so far for most of our study in Romans, although this is the last week of it, and–good news–a shift of focus is coming soon. However, before we get to that, Paul made it very clear that no one is righteous and we have all fallen short. This week we are looking at sin and why it is so important for us to be accountable for our sin and to be real about the impact of sin on our lives.
In our discussions this week, we need to make sure it is clear that not only does God hate our sin but that we are also called to hate it. The reason for that is not just for the sake of hating sin; it is way deeper than that. It is the reality that sin is the force taking God’s beloved creation to a life and eternity that He never wanted for them. It is the destruction of His family and the advancement of evil and Satan’s plan as opposed to God’s plan and desire for humanity.
